Little Stars Learning Center

Our Mission

The mission of Little Stars is to Glorify God through serving our community’s families and children.

The team at Little Stars joins with parents and community organizations to enrich the emotional, physical, and cognitive development of all of our children.

While offering a superior academic program and an environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation, and excellence in learning; we strive to lay a foundation of security and a love for learning that will take them into their school years and beyond.

Our Philosophy

Little Stars is reaching out to the families in our community to offer exceptional education and extraordinary childcare in Dahlonega’s only Private Preschool. Small class sizes, individualized attention, top notch certified teachers, & hands-on curriculum combine to create a program that is unmatched in the North Georgia area. We are more than just childcare; we offer peace of mind, security, and an excellent education.

Our applied curriculum and enriched environments are designed specifically for the interests and developmental needs of preschool children. We sing, explore, pretend, create, and learn!

Centers are set up in each classroom to provide age appropriate activities. These include; arts and crafts, science, dramatic role playing, manipulative materials and letter and number recognition. We also provide free time and structured activities on the playground. We incorporate prayer & meal blessings and we celebrate Christian holidays such as Easter and Christmas. We promote patriotism in our school and we teach and recite the “Pledge of Allegiance”.

Faculty

Your child will be cared for and instructed by certified teachers!

All of our lead teachers are required to have their BA, CDA, ECE, or TCC degree (or equivalent). We pride ourselves on offering the best education for your children! In addition to their certification, each staff member has taken additional courses in nutrition, child abuse prevention, fire safety, and health & safety issues.

Small Class Sizes & Low Student:Teacher Ratios

Unlike some preschools which have 22 children in one class, our largest class has only 11 children. Small class sizes mean more individualized attention and instruction. Our teachers are eager to nurture and love your infant as well as spend much one-on-one educational time with your preschooler. Come tour our school and see for yourself, our stated ratios ARE our ACTUAL ratios and cannot be matched!

Curriculum

Our applied curriculum and extensive lesson plans link straight to the Georgia Early Learning Standards (GELDS) and encompasses each of the five learning domains.    From acting out finger plays with our infants to going on a shape scavenger hunt with our two year olds, each class has developmentally appropriate goals, lessons, and activities to enrich your child’s educational experience.
